Receive the Gift of Love, Joy, and Peace!

During this time of year when Christmas is celebrated, many people talk about joy, peace, and love. People send each other seasons greetings wishing one another peace, joy, and love. I, myself, have received many holiday cards in previous years from families and friends sending me their good wishes. As nice of a gesture this was and I appreciated every single one of the cards I received, I remember the many years I actually longed to experience the wishes my loved ones sent my way. I longed to experience more peace in my life, I wanted to have a joyful and thankful heart, and I wanted to experience the magic of love that is so profoundly highlighted in this season. I absolutely enjoyed the season, immersed in the presence of my loved ones in sharing unforgettable memories as we celebrated, but it always felt momentary, brief. When I returned back to my regular routine, the hustle and bustle of this world, navigating regular life, and the many demands took a toll on me, leaving me in despair and longing for peace, joy, love, and hope!

I am here to share my life testimony of how God rescued me from such a life of despair to a life filled with hope, peace, joy, and love. By the mercy of God, after hearing the Gospel and receiving Christ into my heart, every aspect of my life changed. Through the Word of God that was shared with me by others, I received the tangible and experienceable gift of God, who is Jesus Christ! As I grew in His Word and took Him as my savior and Lord, I began to experience unshakable peace that is beyond this world. Peace that truly passess all understanding. Peace that brought rest to all that I am and took my thoughts captive. I began to experience joy and laughter like I never have before! My heart became filled with thanksgiving and praise. I saw circumstances and situations around me that  should cause me to be sad and broken, but I found myself still living out of joy. Joy that is not associated with any situation. Experiencing the love of God that has been given to mankind in Christ Jesus changed my heart forever and immersed my whole life in love! Love for God, love for myself, love for others. I experienced being loved perfectly and then being able to love others in that same love. I say all this and feel a deep urge within me to share what the gift of God has brought to my Life! I just can’t keep quiet because it is the best, the most precious gift I have ever received and it has changed my Life for good. I know and remember very well what it was like to live without Christ in my life and even thinking about it is painful for me. I was broken inside and everything about me needed fixing but when Christ came into my life, He lit up my darkness and spoke life into me that overflowed love, peace, joy, and hope beyond what I had imagined would be possible. 

My friends, afterall, love, peace, and joy are not wishfully found. As good and sweet they all are to experience and live in, wishes become just good wishes at the end of the day. I only came to know this when Christ came into my life and became the tangible gift for me! Peace, love, and joy are not abstract concepts, but gifts that are to be received by receiving the ultimate gift of God, Jesus Christ, who took on human flesh to come into this world! I share my story with you to invite you to unwrap the gift of God and take him into your heart through His living Word today. He will do wonders in your life beyond what you had hoped or imagined. He knows how to take your burdens and weariness and give you in return His love and peace. The wishes that sounded good won’t live on bering wishes, but your reality. If your heart longs for unshakable peace, unexplainable joy, and perfect love, come and unwrap this heavenly gift that awaits humbly wrapped in swaddling cloth in a manger and experience the gift of Life that lasts beyond the age of this world!
